Do vegas hotels refund?

A guy I met on myspace wants to meet me in vegas (1/2 way between where we both live) so he bought us a room at the Excalibur hotel. He doesnt know this but, now i want to back out cuz im kinda nervous but i feel really bad. Can he get his money back? how do hotels like that typically refund people who bail out 3 days ahead of time (money back, credit back, or no refund whatsoever??)
