Is it possible an insurance adjuster/estimator gets the wrong make and model?

Yeah everyone makes mistakes. Call them up and tell them about it, and have them correct it. If you want you can get your own estimate from a body shop and have your insurance company use that to contest the estimate from the other insurance company.
