Nintendo Wii sensor bar help.?

ok, I just got my wii console, and when i set it up and started playing, it was really twitchy. The cursor was blinking and stuff, but i still managed to play and save my game. It turns out that I didn't plug in the sensor bar jack all the way. It was only half way in. Could this have corrupted my wii saved files or data?
