A puppy for Christmas?
I disagree with people buying a pet for a loved one as a gift. It's not fair to the animal or to the person receiving. If someone really wants a pet, the person giving should allow the person to select or choose the pet they want. I've also never agreed with selling a puppy for a Christmas present. It's a bad time of year for a puppy to be given as a gift just to be left alone when the family goes off to their holiday parties or celebrations or having parties at their home where the puppy is just put in a crate and stuck in a room to be out of the way. If the puppy is going to be a Christmas gift for kids for example, let the kids know they will be getting a puppy by giving them a picture or photograph of the puppy, but wait until the holidays are over when things have calmed down and the family can focus on the new member of the family.
