Need Legal Advise- Paid a Contractor for a job they didn't complete?

If you have proof of everything (i.e. pictures, receipts, etc) since it is not a huge amount of money you can take them to small claims court for reimbursement and punitive damages. You should have also checked them out with the BBB and the contractors law before you paid them anything. I hope this helps and good luck with getting things cleaned up and done properly.
