He said he'd call the next day. he didn't.?

i know i could quote the title of the famous movie "he's just not that into you", but i'd still like to give him the benefit of the doupt. i'm wondering if its possible that he could have some valid reason for not calling yesterday? his text said that he will be heading in my direction, he'd like to see me and he'll call the next day.... he never called. i like follow through on what i say... so i'm finding this a little unnerving... i've given him a lot of space and i've been really easy going about our connection (which is definately there.. the atmosphere is electric when we see each other, body language and all... even though we havent slept together) is he testing? is he waiting for me to call him? any ideas on possible reasons would be great (plz... i need to stop worrying so much) :p
