Do you like the beginning of my story?

My head dropped, leaving me to stare at the white diamond linoleum that lined my kitchen floor. I see the head falling off rolling around a checkerboard. Try this. 'My head drooped, and I contemplated the white diamond pattern of the linoleum covering my kitchen floor.' Other than that minor detail, it's a great beginning, descriptive and informative enough without being boring. I'm hooked!
