Difference between Etudes, Nocturnes, Opus etc?

Within the last year i've been really into playing and listening to clical music, but i never totally understood the diff between all of those titles and numbers, so if anyone can help me understand them and any other labels i didn't mention, id be very grateful and will give 10 pts to the best answer. thanks :)
