The 5th Amendment protects you from self-incrimination, guarantees the due process of law, requires an indictment from a grand jury, and prohibits the government from taking property without paying for it. Double jeopardy is trying a person a second time for a crime for which they have already been exonerated. It prevents the repeated prosecution of a crime from being used as a weapon.
